The role of ‘Real Estate Development Manager' is newly created to ensure our property portfolio continues to expand. You can therefore step into a role to make a real difference to our business. Currently we have over 300 commercially diverse properties. These properties reflect our business of temperature-controlled transportation and distribution. We are looking for your talent, to help build our business into the future and develop our amazing team. Our aim is to focus IMMOSTEF on the development of new warehouses and offices as well as renovation and conversion our existing sites. You will have the flexibility to work from any of our locations across the UK. However, you will be required to travel to our Head Office in Bridgwater and within the UK, and Europe as required. The Position Overview: Real Estate Development Manager Your primary responsibility is to oversee construction and refurbishment projects within the IMMOSTEF portfolio in the United Kingdom. In this role you will work with technical specialists in Lyon (France) and external partners to ensure projects are started and completed on time, on budget and to the required standards. This position is essential to the successful execution of construction initiatives and ensures quality delivery and efficient project management. In addition to your main duties as Real Estate Development Manager, you will work with and support Immostef's management team to further expand the property portfolio in the UK. For this we are continuously looking for new land & property acquisitions. Key Responsibilities: Project Team Management - Lead project teams composed of technical specialists, contractors, and other stakeholders. Participation in Design Teams - Work closely with design teams to influence project designs, ensuring feasibility and compliance with project goals. Supplier Selection - Oversee the selection and management of external suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations. Monitoring Planning and Budget - Track project timelines and budgets, ensuring milestones are met and financial parameters are respected. On-Site Supervision - Conduct physical supervision of construction sites, overseeing deliveries, progress, and the quality of work to ensure successful project outcomes. Land and Property Acquisition - Identify and secure land, buildings, and industrial wasteland with redevelopment potential for short, mid, and long-term needs. Networking - Maintain and develop relationships with private and public sector stakeholders to stay informed about new real estate opportunities. Meet with local political and business decision-makers to facilitate property acquisition and land development. Regulatory and Planning - Navigate regulatory and political landscapes related to land development, ensuring compliance with planning requirements. Support the initiation and management of planning documents, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Requirements: Education - Formal training in construction or a related field. Language Skills : Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required. Proficiency in French is a plus. Experience - At least 10 years of relevant work experience and 5 years in project management, preferably in construction or real estate development. Willingness to Travel - Regular travel within the assigned work area and periodic travel to the office in (Lyon) France and The Netherlands.
